hotspring fun

a warm memoryˇ@ˇ@by:Kuo Min-Cheng

ˇ@
ˇ@I think the feeling is really special. Even though I thought it was simply too hot for me to dip my whole body in there at first, but then after a while, I gathered my courage and realized how wonderful it felt.

ˇ@We not only tried the hot, but also the cold spring, and it was pretty fun to switch back and forth. I also enjoyed the design very much because it was beautiful. It is a wonderfully warm feeling to be in the same tub with friends, and I will always treasure this memory.

the memory we all shareˇ@by:Wu Shu-Yu

ˇ@I often hear of how wonderful hotspring make you feel from my older relatives, and now I'm glad that I finally have a chance to give it a try myself.
ˇ@When I first dipped in, it was really hot and I couldn't really get used to it. But after a while, and after listening to my friend's advice, I first dipped the cold tub, and then the hot tub didn't feel too bad at all.I felt really comfortable, and my skin was a little bit more soft.
ˇ@This activity not only make you healthier, but also provide a chance for people to talk and have fun. What a nice thing that is!

natural classroom

ˇ@What is most interesting about Little Oildip is that it's misty year round, especially during winter. When we walk in the mist, it felt as if we were in a dreamor inside a poem or painting.

ˇ@What is most surprising is that from the bottom of the valley to the top, we can visibly see Clicktrails of white smoke coming up from the thick mists like we're in a dream. But the heavy odor and puffing sounds of the puffholes soon bring you back to reality.ClickWhen we look down, we see tiny sulfor holes that are as hot as 95 degrees celsius!

ˇ@Coming here is just like going to a classroom, except in this particular classroom, everything is not only natural, but real. We can see the knowledge in books lively display themselves in front of our eyes, and although we couldn't see the actualClickfountainhead there are pictures inside the museum to show you

what they look like, thus this Clicknatural classroomis really worth your trip.

my thoughts

The best-looking Little Oilpit

by:Wu Shu-Yu

ˇ@Little Oilpit faces the Northeastern winds that come during the summer, and it's quite cold during the winter. This, in addition to the mists and rain, add to her appearance which is cloudy and misty all year long, making people feel like they're somewhere out of this world.

ˇ@The plantlife near this area is mostly the Mon grass. Every year, around October, tourists can feast their eyes on the spetacular view of plains of red Mon grass.Click

ˇ@The most representative sight in this area is the puffhole which has yellowed nearby rocks and because of their extremely high temperature, plants nearby are mostly moth-types of plants and one can see many bright yellow crystals that form near the puffholes.

wonderful nature

ˇ@ˇ@ˇ@ by:Yun Lee

ˇ@There are quite a few famous trails near this area and is quite suitable for the whole family to come and take a field trip. The Mon grass, puffholes, and other interesting sights will provide the whole family a day filled with not only fresh air, nice scenes, but also some useful knowledge about the geological and ecological aspect of this place.

'remake' blueprint
  • We feel that there are lots of rich scenic spots in this region, including the puffholes, the crystals, the Mon grass, the arrow forest, and the rockwalls. So we tried to consider these five characteristics. Our goal is make this trip more fun and more educational.
  • idea one:if this region is a natural classroom, then it is really important to have a great teacher. And in our view, the teacher could be the volunteers who work here, or it could be a modern computer explaining system where tourists can get valuable information throught the machine.
  • idea two:The hotspring in this region are channeled to the communities just below, and we felt that in addition to getting hotspring, the residents should be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery here as well. Thus we will add binoculars in this region.Click This is especially needed because this is a geological protection area and many things can only be looked at from a distance.
  • idea three:There are several special plantlife in this region, and arrow forest is one of them. So we wish to add a few more huts in the trail and make them into a Clickwatchspot that unites with nature which will allow tourists to rest and enjoy the view at the same time, because the three old huts were too old and beaten down.
  • idea four:Another special plantlife here is the Mon grass, which is a beautiful orange red color.Click Mon grass scenic area is what we have in mind for this place because we wish to tell people why the grass got its color and explain the reason for Yangmingshan's nickname "grass mountain."
