fun
the
sauna trip¡@¡@by:Dren Yihway
¡@
¡@¡@After a morning's
work, everyone was happy to join the afternoon hotspring
party. When
I slowly put my hand down, I thought: why is it so hot!
It felt like someone is buring my body, and I keep seeing
mists around me, but after a while it felt pretty good.
¡@When i went over to the coldtub,
all my bodyheat is dissolved, and I got a taste of early
winter. After that we went to the "baking oven"
and sweated a lot.
¡@It was a great experience,
and I hope we get to do it again.

spring trip
the
old glory of mining area
¡@As
we stand on the watchspot of Dahuang Mouth, and glaze over
the beautiful lake, we
can't believe that this beautifulmanmade
lake used to be the relics left almost three hundred
years ago.It was a great age back when there were mining
activities. People come afar to work here.
And it is because of the precious mines here, the Ching
government burned the mountain regularly to prevent theft.
Nowadays, it is easy for us to think back on her glory by
simply enjoying the colorful rocks that surround the trails
and the wonderful lake.
¡@Dahuang Mouth is a smoky, steamy
valley, and around every puffing hole we see a ¤Hmanmade
hotspring well made of cement.
There are workers constantly making sure the wells are safe
and working properly.
¡@If
we channel the creek water to the steamy puffing
hole, we will produce much of the Baytow area hotspring .Just
looking at them is a sight to remember. There is an interesting
contrast between the two rock layers: one is the five finger
mountain layer of 23 million years ago, and next to it is
the relatively younger layer of just two million years. It
is due to the compressing and squeezing effect of grounds
and rock layers that we get to see this special ecological
scene

my
thoughts
tourist's
paradise
by:Chen Yin
¡@I
think it's a great scenic place. But perhaps the tourists
were too excited, because many places suffered damages
already. In addition, it's a great place to take photographs.
The traffic is convenient, and thus I, like many other
people, consider this place a great scenic place.
Putting
what you learned to practice
by:Kan Po-Yu
¡@From
a total stranger to a true admirer of the place, I've
learned so much about her from reading extensively about
her and conducting many interviews and trips to this place.
This tells me that we must always go to the actual site
that you read in books to get a true sense of the place.

current positioning
|
'remake' blueprint
|
- idea one:The
trails here are mostly made of hard rocks, but on the
day we went to visit her, we found that the rocks are
damaged severely. So we wish to renovate the trails to
make her not only more beautiful, but safer for everyone
as well.
- idea
two:There is a small watchspot near hear, and
the famous manmade lake--Dahuang Mouth is right underneath.
We wish to build safety bar around it so that people know
exactly where it is and not to go down there because of
safety reasons.
- idea three:There
are some old huts nearby and are pretty old and ugly.
We wish to clean the place up and turn it into a brand
new
outdoor
mine museum and make the information about this place
more accesible to tourist who come here.
- idea four:Currently,
the monuments that tell the history of this place are
being occpied by many food stands and other types of business
settings. Thus, tourists can barely read what is being
written on the monuments. We feel that in order to love
a place, you must first get to know her background and
history; thus we wish to clear out the different food
stands and make room for the tourists to freely and comfortably
read what is being said on the monuments.
