the world which possess this type of spring. Japan also
has one.

historic
accounts
In
1895, during the Japanese reign, the Japanese government
brought with them the habit of dipping in hotspring to
Taiwan. They believe that it is both therapeutic and beautifying.
In March,1896, the first hotspring dipping room was first
opened. Later that same year, people discovered that the
hotspring were the precious kind that is slightly radioactive,
which in turn drove the Japanese population crazy about
the Baytow hotspring.
|
|
It wasn't until 1910 did the original
dipping room became public property, and it was even later,
in 1996, did the efforts of a bunch of elementary school
teachers and students awakened the consciousness of the
general public, reminding them to save the old tradition
of this region
|
Finally,
the Baytow hotspring public dipping room could see daylight
again, and become what is known today as the Baytow
hotspring museum. With the help of the community, there
is also the lovely Water Park and transit buses that take
people here.
|
Baytow is
abound with
artifacts, and thus a romantic
hotspring journey is recommended. After such a journey,
one can go to the nearest dipping pool to take a relaxing
dip. Its price is cheap, yet the experience invaluable.
