Datoon
volcano region is comprised of two major breaklayers: the
Goldmountain, and the Kunfeet breaklayer.
The
Kunfeet breaklayer is located near the Southeastern border
of the Datoon Volcanic Mountains, and expands across the
Shih Lin area all the way to Wonlee.
Goldmountain
breaklayer and the Kunfeet breaklayer slants east-westward
and goes across the Goldmountain praries, through Little
Buddha mountain, Baytow, and finally entering the western
border of the Taipei region, which evenly divides the Datoon
volcanic regions in half.
These
two major breaklayers go from Northeast to Southwest, and
it's mostly because during their original formation, the
Phillipine blocks were at the Southeastern side of Taiwan,
and thus when it squeezes our geological block, making our
breaklayer to go the opposite direction, Northeastern. These
breaklayers are the main reasons why we see the distribution
of the Datoon Volcanic Mountain hotspring in this region.
