On that nice weathered day, my Mom took
me to the Datoon Mountains for a wonderful field trip.
It was so much fun. At first, when I saw the
smokes and steams, I thought there had been an
accident of some sort! Anyway, I learned later about
its formation and realized that I not only had a
wonderful time, but also an educational one as well!

It was a great day today outside, and my Mom took me
to the Dahuang Mouth Valley for some photos. The
PH value of this spring is around 3 to 4, and there
are a number of beautiful rocks of various colors in
the region. When they transform themselves, the
rocks display different colors of dark green, gray,
and white. On a puffhole people see cooled-off
crystals which are also really pretty.

It was a great day for dipping in hotsprings.
The mountains were raining little drops and it was
kind of cold. We rushed into the place and
took some quick photos, and we realized the water
were also cold, with a yellowish-white color.
That's how it got its name.

I asked my father why the milky pool
would dribble. My Dad told me that it is a
hotspring, and after the rain falls on the ground,
some of them get in deeper and get heated. When
they come up again, they are what we call a hotspring.
What amazing things nature can do!

We went to the museum today, and it
didn't smell too good when we got there. But
then Daddy told me that it was normal to smell that
way because we were visiting a hotspring museum.
The knowledge I learned there was quite useful, and it
was a really fun day for me.

Why the rabbit name? well, just take
a look at our little baby's front tooth! we didn't go
there to dip, we went there to cook eggs! but to
our surprise, we really did got to dip in the
hotspring because we can no longer cook eggs here
anymore. Thus we simply changed our plan, and
thus the wonderful photo.

Wow!What
a big pit! This is a picture taken behind the tourist
center in the National Park. My mom said that
because of the breaklayer here, hotsprings are formed.
And the reason why you see and hear the eruptions is
because the hotsprings are trying to come out.
So don't mistaken them for bombings!!!

You see not only beautiful flowers, but also
hotsprings in the Yangmingshan national park. If the
rocks are transformed, they become lighter in color
and thus we see that they're differnt from the
original ones.

Little Oilpit is located near the western part of the
sevenstar mountain and the mon grass is the most
popular plantlife here. Because there are lots
of special yellow crystals here, we felt that we could
take a wonderful photo here.

Wow!What are so many pipelines doing here? My father
and I traced their beginnings and found that the use
for all these lines are for restaurant owners in this
region. First used for hotsprings, then we saw
some wells steaming with hotwater. These are
often referred to as the manmade hotspring.

My father likes to take us to Yangmingshan over the
weekend. And it was no exception today. I love
to look at the magnificent views here and when I smell
sulfur, I know I am near again. But my day was cut
short when I heard Dad suddenly say: well, let's pack
it up and go home.

We found the fountainhead of the Horsestable hotspring.
First we smelled the sulfur and know we're near; then
we saw the Nali typhoon's damages and felt the cruelty
of natural disasters. We hope that the place will
remain saft and sound for the enjoyment of our future
generations.

My brother and I were admiring the beautiful rocks
of this region. These yellow rocks that we see
are also called "huocheng" rocks. This particular
hotspring is grayish white, and a little acidic.
People from the city come here to relax and enjoy
