¡@¡@Yangmingshan
has been designated as the national park area of this region
ever since the Japanese colonial years. The old area encompassed
Datoon, Sevenstars, and the Buddha mountain region. The project
was abandoned due to the breakout of World War II. In 1963
the ministry of traffic decided to combine the above mentioned
regions plus a few northern seashore lines and make them a
part of the same national park -- Yangmingshan national park.
¡@¡@But it wasn't until 1981 that
the park was officially given governmental notice, and after
four years, the actual park operations were in place.
¡@¡@Most of the hotspring s are located
between Baytow and Goldmountain. Their formation is due to
the heating process under the rock formations and other volcanic
activities. And needless to say, it's become one of the most
famous tourist regions in the entire nation.
